Now Hiring: 2 Full-Time, Permanent Medical Office Assistants at the Sidney Clinic

Join Our Team 

Shoreline Medical is seeking two experienced and compassionate Medical Office Assistants to join our busy Family Practice Clinic in Sidney. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and possess a strong understanding of primary care operations, as well as familiarity with Island Health resources and community services throughout the Saanich Peninsula and Greater Victoria region. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about patient care and interested in growing their career within a supportive and collaborative healthcare organization. 


Location: Shoreline Medical, Sidney, BC 

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent 

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week 

Start Date: Immediate 

Compensation: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide professional, courteous, and compassionate service to patients, families, physicians, and colleagues. 
  • Manage patient scheduling, registration, and appointment coordination. 
  • Facilitate communication between patients, healthcare providers, specialists, and community agencies. 
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. 
  • Support referral management, correspondence, and administrative workflows. 
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare privacy standards. 
  • Assist with clinic operations and contribute to a positive patient experience. 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Medical Office Assistant, preferably within a Family Practice or Primary Care setting. 
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare services and community resources available through Island Health and the Greater Victoria region. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. 
  • Highly detail-oriented, efficient, self-motivated, and adaptable. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with patients, healthcare providers, and external organizations. 
  • Proficiency with computer-based healthcare administration systems. 
  • Experience with Med Access EMR is considered a strong asset.
