$40.00 – $50.00 per hour (dependent on qualifications).

About Shoreline’s Youth Clinic
Shoreline’s Youth Clinic is the only youth health clinic available on the Saanich Peninsula. The physicians, mental health counselor, MOA staff and peer volunteers provide confidential support for any medical concern of young patients aged 12 to 24 years. Young people on the Peninsula visit the clinic to speak to a counselor, get prescriptions, access STI and pregnancy testing and to ask personal questions about their health. The clinic’s goal is to be a safe space for any young person who comes through the doors.
Position Overview
To address youth mental health needs of the Saanich Peninsula and deliver excellent patient care, in support of the longitudinal and Walk-in Clinic physicians at Shoreline Medical.
Role Description
To provide direct clinical services such as short-term and drop-in mental health and addiction counseling for youth aged 12 to 24 years.

Qualifications
- Master’s in Social Work, Clinical Psychology or Child and Youth Care; or a comparable graduate degree at the Master’s level (or equivalent).
- Minimum 1 year experience of working with youth.
- Demonstrate knowledge of substance use and addiction issues, common mental health concerns in young people and their current treatment models.
- Training in, and deep understanding of human services ethics with regard to confidentiality and appropriate boundaries.
