Dr. Mark Sherman is originally from Montreal, Quebec where he gained his medical degree from McGill University. Mark’s postgraduate training includes a Family Medicine residency with University of British Columbia, a Medical Acupuncture degree from the University of Alberta, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training through CBT Canada and teacher training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction through the University of California San Diego. Mark has an interest in Integrative Medicine with a focus on Mind-Body practices such as meditation. He believes in patient empowerment to promote healing, and works with his patients to help them achieve their health and wellness goals.
In addition to his family medicine practice, Mark is the Executive Director of the BC Association for Living Mindfully (bcalm.ca) and teaches mindfulness based stress management courses in the community.
