Dr Fiona Coleman grew up in Zambia and then South Africa completing her MBChB in Cape Town, South Africa in 1986. She has worked in a variety of hospital and clinic settings in South Africa, the UK, and Canada, both rural and urban-based.
This included a 2-year stint up in the Arctic on Baffin Island and locums in Saskatchewan and Northern BC. She also spent a few years sailing to New Zealand with her husband and then later with their 3 children down to Tahiti and back.
She has been living and working in Sidney since 2001, and is so happy to call this beautiful place her home. Her focus is on preventive medicine and encouraging her patients to remain as active as they possibly can. Having had her children go through the local school systems as well as looking after her elderly parents in this community, she has a good understanding of her patients’ needs and the resources available to them.
When she is not working, Dr. Coleman loves to run and bike and spend time singing and playing her guitar.
She is thrilled to part of the dynamic and comprehensive clinic that is Peninsula Medical.
