Saanich Peninsula Youth Health Clinic
Now offering telehealth and in person appointments!

The Youth Clinic is now operating with both telehealth and in-person for appointments for our physicians and counsellors. We continue to have availability for booked appointments with some walk-in spots as well, depending on capacity.
We are still operating with COVID-19 protocols in place, and ask that our patients wear masks during their visits. If you have any symptoms that could be caused by COVID-19, we ask that you book telehealth appointments only.
We are still suspending use of our waiting room and ask our clients to remain outside until their appointment time. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to a future where we can see more of each other again.

OUR YOUTH HEALTH CLINIC IS FREE!

Why is the Youth Clinic important?
We are the ONLY youth health clinic available on the Saanich Peninsula. We know that young people have unique needs when it comes to health. Privacy, respect, trust and compassion are our top priorities when it comes to serving you!
We provide confidential support for any medical concern – you are more than welcome to speak to us about your physical, mental and sexual health.
Young people on the Peninsula visit us to speak to a counsellor, get prescriptions, access STI and pregnancy testing and to ask personal questions about their health. We can also safer sex supplies, menstrual supplies, and birth control – make sure to talk to us about payment if you have questions or need help.
Our goal is to be a safer space for any young person who comes through our doors – every gender, orientation and identity is welcome. We will do anything we can to welcome you and make you feel as comfortable as possible!
Our clinic acknowledges that the land on which we work is the traditional territory of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the WSÁNEĆ peoples
Who is the Youth Clinic for?
You! We welcome anyone between the ages of 12 to 24 (up until your 25th birthday). Check out our video below to discover more!
We know that there may be topics or questions that are easier to discuss in private. When you visit our clinic, we will respect your confidentiality. While you are NOT required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, we always encourage people to bring a friend or trusted supporter!

The Youth Action Team
Our clinic is powered by the hard work and passion of volunteers in our community! Our Youth Action Team is made up of youth volunteers with an interest in health, education and community.
The Youth Action Team helps to organize youth wellness events on the Peninsula, create educational resources for youth and supplies health and wellness kits to young people in our community. We also eat lots of snacks!
If you are interested in learning what it’s like to work in a clinic, producing educational content for social media or meeting new friends in your community, then the Youth Action Team is for you!
We meet every week on Thursday evenings! If you are interested in getting involved, please contact our coordinator Whitney at wwelsh@shorelinemedical.ca or hit us up on Instagram @saanichpeninsulayouthclinic
